Who this is for
Anyone in the transgender community who has never used a computer, or has used one only for WhatsApp and YouTube, and wants to change that. If you can’t type, that’s fine. If you’ve never had an email address, that’s fine. This course assumes nothing.
What you'll be able to do by the end
- Operate a computer confidently files, folders, settings, safe shutdown
- Type with reasonable speed and accuracy
- Use the internet to search, verify, and find information you can trust
- Create and manage your own email account, and write a professional message
- Produce documents, basic spreadsheets, and simple presentations
- Stay safe online passwords, scams, privacy settings, harassment reporting
- Understand what digital identity and digital banking make possible for you
How it's taught
Small cohorts. One machine per learner. Instructors trained in working with this community, not just in software. Every session is hands-on you’ll spend far more time doing than listening.
What you need to bring
Yourself. Machines, materials, and refreshments are provided. If transport is the barrier, tell us on the form we’ll try to solve it.
